This video will blow your mind. It’s one of those see-it-to-believe it kind of things. Artist/engineer Theo Jansen makes his “sand beasts” out of plastic pipe and things he finds on the beach. They move on their own using wind power: science fiction in real life. This ain’t your father’s tinker toys!

Sure, they’re cool. But how do you STOP them once they get going? If one of those things broke loose and rampaged through a nearby town it would cause mass panic.
