I just saw this article about efforts to make Elvis cool again. He’s on MySpace, he’s on YouTube, and he’s about to be on a Hershey’s wrapper (you’ll have to read it to find out about that!).
Moving Elvis content online should be easy; making Elvis cool again will be more difficult. After all, for most kids, Elvis is the music of their parents’ — or grandparents’ — generation.
Is it possible to make Elvis cool again? Or is he still cool?
Or should I ask, is it possible to reinvent yourself online — even if you’re dead??
Chela
Although I’m no fan or keeping everthing alive through myspace and the like Elvis is a classic and needs to be remembered and enjoyed by present and future generations.
