Pants ban?!

Just came across this article from Yahoo News: “Baggy pants ban ‘unconstitutional,’ rules US judge.”

A 17-year-old spent a night in jail last week after police arrested him for wearing low pants in Riviera Beach, southeast Florida.

The law banning so-called “saggy pants” was approved by city voters in March after supporters of the bill collected nearly 5,000 signatures to put the measure on the ballot.

What do you think? Do you think the police should get involved in people’s fashion? Do you think people should be allowed to wear their pants as low as they want, even if others think a little *too much* shows? Leave a comment!

Duct tape couple

Duck brand Duct Tape has a “Stuck at Prom” scholarship contest, and 2008’s just began! Check out the past entries and the rules, then let your creativity loose!

For me, the most amazing part is a) all the colors (neon green?!), and b) making a guy’s suit out of tape!!

Crocs banned in school?

Crocs

I know a lot of you wear Crocs, so I wondered what you think of this article from USA Today that tells how many schools are choosing to ban Crocs in the name of safe footwear.

More public schools are instituting stricter, parochial-style dress codes, and Crocs, along with generic sandals and flip-flops, aren’t fitting the closed-toe, closed-heel criteria.

What do you think? Have there been Croc incidents at your school? Do you think the safety concerns are legit, or would you rather have personal style at school?
