Parents often ask us: Where in the world do you find the great rock-n-roll kids’ music that you use in your storytimes like Saturday Tales?

Well, we get it at the library!

We believe that parents and kids have more fun when music is involved in storytime and there is a lot of great music out there for kids. Here are  some of our favorite rock-&-rollin, not-your-granny’s albums for kids….

Rockin’ and Rollin’

Kids love music, and it’s good for them too! Just as you rock them to sleep and teach them to roll themselves over, you can teach them great literacy skills, such as phonological awareness, by singing and playing music.

Miss Carol’s Storytime Goodbye

So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye….

For those who have come to know and love her, Miss Carol’s retirement will be a bittersweet event. We hope you can join her for one last storytime on August 3rd from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.


She’ll be sharing her favorite books, music, rhymes and knock-knock jokes! You’ve heard them before but come hear them one last time at Miss Carol’s Storytime Goodbye! (No registration needed.)
