For over 80 years, our mission has been to provide the best services possible to the citizens of the Westerville Public Library district. Your passage of the levy on November 8 allows us to continue that great tradition. We are extremely grateful to you and wish to extend our deepest thanks for your support as we look forward to finding new and innovative ways to serve our community.
Now we are rolling up our sleeves and working to deliver on our promises to you. We are interviewing prospective staff in preparation for reopening on Sundays beginning March 4. Our Sunday hours will be 1-6pm, year round. You can also look forward to many more materials to choose from as we have restored our book budget and increased it by nearly 40%.
As we enter the new year, we reflect on yet another busy year at the library. Once again, our circulation surpassed 2 million items; more than 1.8 million visitors came to our website; we served the library needs of 102,788 cardholders; over 35,000 people attended library programs and our Library Link program delivered nearly 20,000 requested items to students at Westerville schools.
Our library is once again rated one of America’s finest libraries, thanks to your support in 2011. We are humbled by our past success and are excited about our future.
We recently moved to Westerville after living in various Columbus suburb locations over the past 13 years. The first time my children and I walked into Westerville Public Library we thought we walked into an exclusive club. The kids love trips to the library and are excited to hang out, search for books, check out books with their own cards and of course take over the video game room. The only thing missing is the old dusty book smell.
We look forward to Sunday hours!
Thank you so much for your comments Lisa: I am so happy that you and your family have enjoyed the wonderful services we provide at the library. Like you, we are very much looking forward to opening on Sundays, beginning March 4th.
Thanks Again!

We Love the Westerville Library, and we are SOOOO EXCITED to have the Sunday Hours coming back!!! This will definitely be something we will take full advantage of…and it will be nice to be able to come to the library after Lunch on Sundays and then go to Church on Sunday Evenings!! Thank You Westerville Library for restoring those Hours on Sunday!!!
The library does a good job with the monies it has been given. Since absolutely everyone can use the library, I feel it is tax money well spent, so I will continue to support Westerville library in the future. The people that work there are super too! Good job, Deb Gifford, Westerville resident for 7 years
I love the library. Thank you for serving our community. I am wondering what progress will you be making in regards to ebook selection. I have been using this service for some time now and am looking forward to an increase in selection. Thank you again

Kimm,
With the passage of the levy, we’ve been able to more than double our materials budget for our ebook collection for 2012, so look for many more titles to appear within the next few days.
We are also actively researching other ebook options to make sure that we are serving the needs of this fast-growing market.
Best,
Tamara Murray
